How does the Fixer experience work?
After you submit your request, our concierge team will text you to confirm your appointment and gather any additional details about your project. Your Fixer will arrive on time and prepared with the basic tools and materials needed. Upon arrival your Fixer will review the project, refining our initial estimate and presenting it to you for approval before we start the paid clock. Then we get to work.
How am I Billed?
Pay Only for the Time You Use
Work time is prorated to the minute after a $94 one hour minimum. If your job takes 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete, you pay only for that time, no rounding up. Some jobs require more than one Fixer for safety reasons, and if that is the case, the rate is $94/hour per Fixer working quickly to complete the job.
Special Materials and Shopping
For jobs that require specific materials beyond our standard kit, our experts will do the shopping for you. They know how to to get the correct items needed quickly, and get the job done. We charge a reduced rate for time spent shopping ($64/hr, no min). We save you significant time and money vs. having you roam around in a hardware store scratching your head and likely buying the wrong products. It is our aim to get your project done safely, correctly, and quickly so you can enjoy your home.
We Estimate and Get to Work Right Away in the Same Visit
We typically provide initial estimates for most common home repair jobs with you when you first contact us. When the Fixer arrives at your home, they will confirm the estimate with you and then proceed to start the work right away. The final cost of the project is determined based on the actual time and materials used.
If you prefer a detailed estimate and not to start work right away, we will charge $94 for the site visit and will credit that towards your first hour of work when we return to do the job. Please let our concierge know which you prefer at time of booking.
Larger Jobs - Project Management
We focus mainly on getting those nagging home repair projects finished! But, we can help with those home inspection or pre-open house “punch lists”. as well. We will let you know if your request requires an on-site estimate and more detailed written estimate/project manager to complete.
No two projects are alike, but here's an overview for some common ones:
