How does the Fixer in-home experience work?
Shortly after you submit your request, you’ll get a text to confirm your appointment, and our concierge team will reach out separately if they need any additional details about your project. Your Fixer will arrive on time and prepared with the basic tools and materials needed. Upon arrival your Fixer will review the project, refine our initial estimate, and present it to you for approval before we get to work.
How am I Billed?
Pay Only for the Time You Use
Work time is prorated to the minute after a one hour minimum. If your job takes 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete, you pay only for that time, no rounding up. Some jobs require more than one Fixer for safety reasons, and if that is the case, the rate is applied to each Fixer working to complete the job.
Special Materials and Shopping
For in-home jobs that require specific materials beyond our standard kit, our experts will do the shopping for you. They are trained and practiced at getting the right parts in a single trip, and we charge a reduced rate for time spent shopping — saving you time and money in the end. It’s our aim to get your project done safely, correctly, and quickly so you can enjoy your home.
We Estimate & Get to Work Right Away in the Same Visit
We provide estimates for common in-home repair jobs upon request when you first contact us. When the Fixer arrives at your home, they will confirm the estimate with you and then start the work right away. The final cost of the project is determined based on the actual time and materials used.
